No. All our programmes were designed to be done on-campus. We are big believers in the brick-and-mortar classroom, and there is simply no substitute for in-person learning alongside your peers.
Currently, our Bootcamps (except for part-time bootcamps) and the Software Engineering NitroDegree™ are designed as full-time, on-campus programmes. As you will have to cover so many subjects in a relatively short space of time it’s crucial that you give 100% without any added distractions. You will be expected to attend Forward School every weekday from morning till late in the afternoon and will also be expected to spend additional time self-studying outside of class. Think of this as your career accelerator!
Nonetheless, we do have plans of releasing part-time versions of these programmes soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
Yes! You are welcome to visit Forward School at any time from 9am- 6pm during weekdays and campus Open Days. We are not open on weekends and Public Holidays. It’s always best to call in prior to schedule a visit with our person-in-charge.
The minimum age of admission is at least 17 years old. There is no upper age limit as we believe that learning should never stop irrespective of one’s age.
No, we are not. We know that the tech industry values knowledge and work-ready skills far more than text-book knowledge and we provide our students with the most up-to-date, industry-led curriculum that will guarantee them a job in the industry once they graduate. We’re focused on real skills for the real world.
Keep coding and learning on your own and when you feel that you are ready, let us know by applying again! Alternatively, you could consider one of our other programmes that might better suit your interests, skillset, and career aspirations.
Our programmes consist solely of on-site classes. If you are attending one of our longer-duration programmes (Software Engineering NitroDegree™, bootcamps, and part-time courses), you may not qualify for a certificate of completion if you have more than a certain number of absences (refer to the table below). We understand that life happens, so we do record most classes for review. That said, we are big believers in the brick-and-mortar classroom, and there is simply no substitute for in-person learning alongside your peers.
Due to the short-term nature of our weekend workshops and short classes, full attendance is expected from you if you wish to qualify for the certificate of completion.
We have one faculty member for every 25 students, with classes capped at 30 students. Every student is assigned to an individual coach with whom they will meet once a week during their entire time at Forward School.
You do! You retain 100% of the rights to all the projects you work on during your program.
