I kept seeing a lot of nice looking and cool websites and it always led me to the thought of " What if I could build something like this one day, it'll be sooo cool".

I was a Commercial Design Stream student back in secondary school , which was mainly studying economics and Commercial Arts Designs. I had close to no knowledge with any programming language, and had only learnt some basic HTML and CSS in form 3.

Studying software engineering has always been my second choice because I was not a science stream student, I didn’t take add-math and thus I couldn’t apply to almost every normal university out there. I kept seeing a lot of nice looking and cool websites and it always led me to the thought of " What if I could build something like this one day, it'll be sooo cool".

Why Forward School?

After graduating secondary school, I came across Harvard Online Study Courses, where one of the courses taught "CS50 Web Programming with Python and JavaScript" and that was where I was more determined with my decision on my career path to building an designing cool looking websites!

The first time I saw Forward School was in an education fair. The first impression and real reason for choosing Forward School was because I did not need any add-math to apply for the course and also the online option due to the pandemic.

However, after having the tour and getting to know more about the school, I really liked how the school teaches the students, getting straight to the point, no other random stuff and unnecessary subjects, but equipping us with the skills needed for work. Not to mention, the environment was really good with classmates who are competitive and focused in practice and training.

Building a Crossfit Website using MERN as one of my projects this year!

My Favourite moments

My favourite moments in Forward School were the external activities such as gathering events and open mic sessions. I could get to know more about my friends, and interact with new people from the industry who are our potential Industrial Attachment companies.

My current goal after I graduate is I wish to be a full stack developer who can handle all the work of databases, servers, systems engineering, and clients. Even better if I can work in Tesla with Elon Musk.
